Chile’s
bicentennial air power on display

Chile has just celebrated the 200th
anniversary of its first government out of Spanish colonial rule and its
armed forces played a key role in “nation-long” ceremonies. While Army
and Navy hosted the main “Fiestas Patrias” (patriotic festivities),
military (mainly Air Force) flying elements captured a fair share of the
show in the capital and elsewhere.

During October 2009 the Royal Saudi Air Force
deployed haf a dozen F-15 and 175 supporting military personnel to Dijon
(France), for the second edition of Green Shield training. Robert
