Countdown to FIDAE 2012 begins! |

With five months to go to
before the show opens, we though it wise to start constructing a preview
of what attendees, visitors and the general public will witness in
Pudahuel next year. The 17th edition of the International Air & Space
Fair (Feria Internacional del Aire y el Espacio, or FIDAE 2012)
opens on Wednesday 27 March 2012 and news are already starting to flow
about its envisaged contents..

Chile’s
bicentennial air power on display |
Chile has just celebrated the 200th
anniversary of its first government out of Spanish colonial rule and its
armed forces played a key role in “nation-long” ceremonies. While Army
and Navy hosted the main “Fiestas Patrias” (patriotic festivities),
military (mainly Air Force) flying elements captured a fair share of the
show in the capital and elsewhere.

Last January the second edition of Aeroexpo
was held at the Moroccan city of Marrakech. The North African showbiz is
becoming one of the biggest continent showcase for civil & military

Royal Saudi Air
Force F-15 deploy to France:
Arabian Autumn in France |
During October 2009 the Royal Saudi Air Force
deployed haf a dozen F-15 and 175 supporting military personnel to
Dijon (France), for the second edition of Green Shield training.

Spiraling down into the ocean. We have
between 70º and 90º of bank; the Vertical Speed Indicator indicates
-1500 feet per minute, the altitude is 2000 ft and descending. But I
am not concerned yet because to my right sits an instructor. I ask
him if everything is all right. He keeps staring somewhere between
the instruments and says, “Yes, of course it is”. Now I am really
scared.

crisis at the World Economic Forum in Davos, the Swiss Armed forces were

training phase between the Spanish Air Force and USAF. Both forces

The end of the history of a DC-9 together the
end of the Argentinean owner company after the golden nineties. The 2002
year crisis and bankruptcy of Dinar Air Lines, the airplane suffered the
same fate that the company: the disappearance.
